The Château Nadal Hainaut

T he Château Nadal Hainaut Organic Roussillon Wines located in the plain of the Roussillon. Château Nadal Hainaut, established in 1826, is a family-owned estate in the heart of Languedoc-Roussillon. The vineyard was built on an ancient monastery from the 12th century. It is a rich terroir between the mountain and the sea, made of chalky-clay soil with river pebbles. A temperate climate stimulated by the powerful wind ‘Tramontane’.

ean-Marie Nadal and his daughters are working harmoniously with nature, encouraging bio-diversity along with sustainable winemaking, resulting in a range of beautifully balanced Organic wines.
The estate cultivates 10 grape varieties spread over 43 ha of completely organic land. This is in accordance with the specifications of the organic label ‘Ecocert’. Together, the family creates an innovative and qualitative range of wines such as Côtes du Roussillon in red, white and rosé, highlighting each grape variety and the terroir. They also produce Côtes Catalanes and traditional fortified sweet wines from the Roussillon.

t is a precious heritage that has been passed down to the family estate, both ancestral forms of winemaking and a family tradition. They also explore and experiment with newer styles of wines such as sulphites-free wines, natural wines, vinification done in barrels on century-old grape varieties...
For instance, the estate creates a new cuvée each year.
